Let's go

Who else wants a FREE trip to some of the most remarkable places in the entire world?

For over 12 years now, we’ve been working with teachers to create some of the most incredible and rewarding overseas trips – will you join us on our next one?

We’re the School Expedition Company.

In short, that means that we take schools on expeditions.  Not rocket science, right?

Over the last 12 years, we’ve worked with over 50 schools, and taken over 1000 pupils on some of the most amazing trips, visiting places like Tanzania, Nepal and Peru.

Why bother?

The word “life changing” is bandied about a lot these days, especially in the context of adventures and expeditions, but what does it really mean?

Simple really:

“Having an effect that is strong enough to change someone’s life”.

That’s what we seek to do with every single trip: help students and teachers alike to have transformational and life-lasting experiences.  Here are just a few things our trips are designed to help you and your students with:

  • Personal Development – An expedition will enhance your personal development, it’s as simple as that.  You’ll develop determination and self confidence as you successfully undertake new and challenging activities and scenarios.
  • Life Skills – These aren’t just “jollies”; although there is a lot of jolliness. Our excursions are designed to teach you life skills like leadership and motivation, and those skills will be tested and honed as you lead your team through each element of the trip.
  • Communication Skills – Good communication is key to most things in life, and that’s why we focus very heavily on developing these skills during these trips.

You’ll learn how to effectively interact and socialise with your team and the community around you, as well as to the wider world through blog posts and social media interaction.

In short, our expeditions are… life changing.

So, you’re a teacher; we know just what that’s like.

We’ve been working with teachers for a very long time now; in fact, our MD used to be one.

Why does that matter?  Well, for a start it means we understand the extreme workload, stress and time constraints that you face on a daily basis.

Life as a teacher isn’t easy and it is challenging, which means that when it comes to taking on additional responsibilities – like organising a successful school expedition – it can be easier to opt out and decide not to pursue it.

That’s where we come in.

We’ve been doing this for so long that we’ve got it down to a fine art and consequently, a huge amount of the hard work is done for you. With expert help at every stage, reducing your stress and workload whilst still allowing you to put on a fabulous expedition.

Here’s how we help you

  • You’ll get your own dedicated expedition manager, who you can contact at anytime for support and answers to your questions.
  • Your own dossier – this will tell you everything you need to know ahead of the expedition, answer all your questions and give you everything you need to truly maximise your trip – this has been described as ‘bloody priceless’ and we agree!
  • Your own teacher training – don’t worry this isn’t your usual boring chalkboard stuff; we’ll make sure that you’re fully prepared for your expedition on our 3-day training course.
  • Your first aid certificate – you’ll get this during your training, ensuring that you can deal with most eventualities and helping you feel more secure and prepared.

The question is: do you want to be a link teacher?

You might be wondering what a “link teacher” is.

Allow us to explain:

As a link teacher, you’re essentially your school’s point of contact for the organisation of the expedition.

You deal with getting the students on the trip and ready to go, and we’ll take care of everything else.

As a link teacher, you’ll be able to visit an amazing part of the world, watch as your students blossom and grow and experience new and exciting cultures.

Oh, and your place is FREE.

It’s not an “easy” job, but how many good things in life are easy?

If you’re interested in being a link teacher and travelling to one of the world’s most fascinating and exotic locations, for free, then give us a call now on 01769 309000.
