Gozo

Beautiful Treasures to be Discovered

Destination Overview

You or your school might not have heard of Gozo, but ask any diver where their favourite location is and this little island will be the first on their list…

This is Malta’s sister island and offers some of the world’s most beautiful dive sites, with spectacular seascapes for the novice and advanced diver. The soft rock which makes up most of the island has been shaped into stunning submarines, caves, gullies, arches and reefs.

Take your students on an expedition where they can experience all of what Gozo has to offer including mountain biking, trekking, climbing and abseiling.

Our favourite trip to run on Gozo is an October Half Term trip. We have enough time to learn to dive and then finish our trip with a local conversation project. The weather is still warm and the sea is at a great temperature to learn to dive.

Location + Itinerary

Gozo is one of our favourite places to go and it will soon become one of yours. Gozo is very quiet and not at all tourist destination which is why it makes for the perfect school expedition and one of the best places to learn to scuba dive.

Day 1 - Depart from the UK and arrive in Gozo.
Day 2 - Sea Kayaking. Our qualified guides will support you to get to grips with the basics before you kayak along the coast, paddle past rocks, explore inside caves, and enjoy the clear warm waters of Gozo and Comino.
Days 3-5 - Over the next few days you will complete your SSI Open Water Diving course. You will be taught the basic principles of scuba diving, learn the basic scuba diving skills and take plenty of dives so you are confident with what you learnt.
Day 6 - This will be a rest day however, there will be an opportunity to go on additional dives to practise your new scuba skills!
Day 7 - Segway Adventure. An adventurous, but less energetic way to explore Gozo. You’ll very quickly pick up your driving skills before heading off to take in the wonderful views and even learn a little about the local floral and culture along the way. See some of the best of Gozo’s countryside or sea views using this fun form of eco-friendly transport.
Day 8 - Leave Gozo and return back to the UK.
