Gap Trip V School Expedition

Gap Trip V School Expedition

What’s the best way to book your trip of a lifetime?

As Augustine once said, “The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page”.

We believe this.

We’ve seen firsthand how students’ horizons are broadened and lives are changed by stepping out of their comfort zones and into different experiences.

The question is: what’s the most effective way for students to “travel”?

Many students opt to take a “gap year”, often between the last year of school and university or work.

Others choose to do their travelling earlier than that.  And generally that’s where we help out, with our Schools Expeditions.

What are the Schools Expeditions?

A bit like Ronseal, these pretty much do exactly what they say on the tin.

We work with schools and run expeditions to some of the world’s most exciting and exotic destinations, taking students along and giving them incredible experiences.

What’s so good about them?

The experience.  For most of the students we work with, the experience stays with them for years to come – in fact, it changes many students’ lives!

Typically we find that our Schools Expeditions:

Plus, they look fantastic on any CV.

What about Gap Years?

Gap years are an ideal opportunity to take a longer break, as often this is much harder once you are building your career.

However it is always important to ask yourself whether this will be a wise investment, or just an expensive vacation.

We’re not saying don’t go and enjoy the experience.

Far from it.

However, the reality is that these trips are often more expensive, so it’s viral to ensure you have a way to finance them.

Many travellers find that looking for work while travelling is a sensible way to subsidise the overall trip.

Having a gap year is a great way to experience life away from home before heading off to university, as well as getting involved in something you believe in.

What’s the difference between School Expeditions and Gap Years?

When you organise a gap year, you’ll have to do exactly that: organise it yourself.

Travel, accommodation, itinerary – the whole shebang needs to be completed by you.

Nothing wrong with that, but with a School Expedition, you’re able to have a taste of travelling, without the stress and burden of doing everything yourself.

Always happy to help!
