Scuba Diving – Could It Be The ‘Next’ School Ski Trip?

gozo scuba diving

Schools have been running ski trips for decades and they haven’t changed a bit. February Half Term or the School Easter Holidays have always been firm favorites for the annual Ski Trip.

(I would just like to point out I was never lucky enough to head out on our School Ski Trip – I was never in the cool group!)

“There is always then the risk of rubbish snow, or students ending up in hospital with broken bones!”

But we all know how they run: –

You load 30 students on a coach and head over the channel for a 20-hour coach journey! Sound Familiar? There is always then the risk of rubbish snow, or students ending up in hospital with broken bones!

Now don’t get us wrong we LOVE skiing and we are not trying to put an end to school Ski trips! However, we do have an alternative for you to consider.

The ‘New Style’ Ski Trip is going to become Scuba Diving in the next 5 years.

How do we know this?

We have been offering Scuba Diving trips throughout Europe for the past 6 years – but we feel not enough schools know about them and their benefits.

Why Should You Consider a School Scuba Diving Trip?

Here are the Pro’s we have found.

  1. Gain an internationally recognizable qualification  (PADI)
  2. Not restricted to certain times of the year
  3. Learn a new skill
  4. The Perfect October Half Term Trip
  5. Warm Waters and Sunshine
  6. Improve Your Skills each time and gain a new qualification
  7. It doesn’t matter if people have dived before, they can start straight where they left off last time.
  8. 3-hour flight from your local airport – That sounds better than 20 hours on a coach doesn’t it?

We have also found some Cons for this though,

  • Oversubscribed Trips
  • Diving is Addictive

(Yes that’s all we can find!)

“The big advantage is gaining a qualification. This is something that will stay with people for life.”

Our 7-10 day trips prove very popular with schools over half term periods. The big advantage is gaining a qualification. This is something that will stay with people for life.

If students decide to go travelling or take a gap year, the chances are they are going to visit countries where they will be able to Scuba Dive in crystal clear blue waters. Having already gained the qualification will mean they can present their card and start diving straight away.

The other big advantage of a Scuba Diving Expedition with us is that they require no specialist equipment. Rock and Rapid Adventures will provide all the specialist equipment; all they will require are items they will already own.

If you have been tempted by the idea of a Scuba Diving School Adventure then why not visit our Gozo Page on our website.

Where is Gozo? 99% of people ask that question!

If you would like anymore information or would like to speak to one of the team, please just give us a call on 01769 573380. We would love to explain the benefits.
